Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an entry to mid-level electromechanical assembler in Burbank, CA. The role covers basic-to-repetitive assembly tasks to support manufacturing operations.

You will perform sub and final assemblies, inspect components, follow engineering drawings, maintain work area cleanliness, and participate in continuous improvement efforts while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the QEH&S policy and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Perform sub and final assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Inspect and sort small parts on production lines or in close work areas.
  • Follow written job instructions or engineering drawings.
  • Use matrices for problem analysis and lean improvements.
  • Troubleshoot units and learn related equipment as required.
  • Maintain 5S and cleanliness of the work area daily.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Starting Pay will range between Min - 22 - Max - 24 . per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm (OT may be required)

Job Overview:

Performs basic and repetitive routine electromechanical assembly tasks to support manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Perform sub and final assemblies with minimal supervision
  • Works either on a production line or with small parts by inspecting and sorting
  • Perform to written job instructions or engineering drawing/work order
  • Utilize matrices for problem analysis
  • Work to achieve general knowledge of operation/function of assemblies as required to troubleshoot units
  • Learn operational or departmental equipment, tooling or gauging as required
  • Identify process changes and methods improvements
  • Performs quality checks in accordance with established quality procedures and ISO requirements
  • Ensures production pace is maintained to meet customer demand
  • Learn and review daily production goals and metrics as a team
  • Will be cross trained to work at all assembly steps of line
  • Maintain cleanliness (5S) of work area daily
  • Participate in continuous improvement goals of the work site

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.
  • Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.
  • Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.
  • Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.

Preferences:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.
  • Familiar with and can utilize power tools.
  • Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.
  • This position is based on-site and requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and other safety equipment as required. Employees may also be required to work around machine guarding and stand for extended periods using anti-fatigue mats. The role may involve lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
