Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. in Fall River, WI is seeking a 1st Shift Assembler to build components for our SCAG family of products. You will position parts, inspect connections for proper fit, and fasten subassemblies while following safety rules.

The role includes on-the-job training, the potential for advancement, and a welcoming, air-conditioned facility with paid holidays and a $1000 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly experience (will train).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Aptitude to take orders and execute efficiently.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

Reporting to the Assembly Manager, the Assembler produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies for our top of the line SCAG family of products.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly - will train.
