Orion Castings Cambridge Division in North Billerica is seeking Assembly Technicians to join our team. The role emphasizes precise, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and education.

We offer competitive compensation with a $20.00 per hour base plus a 10% shift differential, plus comprehensive benefits including health, HSA/FSA, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement. Work schedule is 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Read and follow production documentation, including assembly drawings and procedures.
• Use a microscope for certain operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Use hand and power tools as needed.
• Understand product flow and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop assembly methods for new and existing products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Follow written and verbal work instructions.

Read and follow production documentation, including assembly drawings and procedures.

Use a microscope for some operations.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Use some hand and power tools.

Have some understanding of product flow.

Work closely with engineers to generate assembly methods for new and existing products, solve assembly and related problems.

Other tasks as needed or required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Decision making & problem solving, attention to detail and collaboration & teamwork

Preserve a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors and co-workers

Be mechanically inclined

Ability to work with basic test equipment and tools to perform simple functional tests is a plus

Light-duty machine tools such as drill press, saws and grinders.
