Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an assembler for a contract position in Peoria, IL, on 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 12 am) with first-shift training for about a month. Work in a clean room environment handling assembly, machine operation, and quality checks on flexible materials, including heat sealing and potential CNC learning.

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler working on the 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 12 am, with initial training on the 1st shift for at least a month. You'll be working in a clean room environment, conducting assembly, machine operation, and final quality checks on flexible materials. Your role will involve operating plastic heat sealing equipment and potentially learning to operate CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly in ISO 7 clean room using designated PPE.
• Operate plastic heat sealing equipment during item assembly.
• Learn and operate CNC machines as required.
• Follow multi-step processes to assemble custom-specific items.
• Maintain high focus on quality and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly and machine operation.
• Experience with hand tools, blueprints, measuring tools, and schematic reading.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and use precision measuring tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Final assembly and quality control experience.
• High attention to detail.
• Physical capability to bend, stoop, climb stairs/ladders, squat, kneel, push/pull, lift up to 50 lbs., and use vibratory and other basic tools.
