Job summary

S&C Electric Company is hiring an Assembler to build IntelliRupters at dedicated stations, handling components and performing basic inspections. You will follow precise assembly prints, use torque wrenches and gauges, and operate hand and power tools as required.

The role is a Monday–Thursday shift with potential overtime on Fridays, offering $20.00 per hour and eligibility for the annual incentive bonus. This position supports critical grid infrastructure with employee ownership benefits.

Qualifications

Shift

• Monday – Thursday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Overtime on Fridays when necessary

Compensation

The estimated hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short‑term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9’ x 4’ x 4’.
• Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 50 lbs. without equipment assistance). Some judgment required to assemble and make simple adjustments.
• Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure.
• Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes if required.
