Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Lancaster, PA is seeking an assembler to produce and assemble filters and components to strict specifications. The role includes spinning, welding, cutting media, applying gaskets, inspection, and packing finished products in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments and basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble various types of filters and components to production specifications.
  • Perform production processes such as spinning, applying adhesive/plastisol, cutting media, wrapping, and spot welding.
  • Complete daily inventories and daily/weekly/monthly cycles as needed.
  • Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections and report defects to supervisor if needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in lean events and 5S.

Position Summary

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and producing various types of filters. Performing such duties as stapling, applying wrap to pleats, capping, assembling tubes and springs, spot welding, seaming, spinning, spinning adhesive/plastisol, cutting media, wrap or other material as required. Applying gaskets and inspecting. May require tucking and filter repair, packaging and stacking of product.

First Shift Hours

Monday to Friday, 5:00am – 3:20pm (10 hours). If there is a scheduled or voluntary Saturday, the shift will be 5:00am – 10:00am.

  • Pay rate $17.75/hour($50,765 – $54,226 annually)
  • Paid Holidays (13 days each year), Vacation (10 days per year) and Sick Time (40 hours)
  • You will be eligible for Parker Hannifin’s Annual Cash Incentive Plan (ACIP) beginning on your first day of employment, with a target opportunity of 5% of annual eligible earnings and potential payouts from 50% to 200% of target based on Adjusted DNE, sales revenue, and cash flow performance for the Hydraulic and Aerospace Filtration Division.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble various types of filters and component parts to production specifications.
  • May perform assigned production processes as required, including spinning; applying adhesive and/or plastisol to products or components; cutting media, wrap, or other materials; complete spot welding, debossing, and seaming on filters or components; minor filter repair; and packing and inspecting finished products.
  • Use basic computer functions for daily orders and inventory adjustments.
  • Complete daily, weekly, or monthly inventories, as needed.
  • Complete first‑piece and in‑process inspections; secure supervisor and/or quality assistance to correct defects or deficiencies as they occur.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
  • Actively participates in department problem solving, lean events and high-performance teams.
  • Participate in 5S and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need.
  • Must work in a safe manner observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety.
Education And Experience
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Have the skill to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications and accurately use measuring instruments.
  • Have knowledge of basic math (Perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (add, subtract, multiply, divide)) to measure, record, and report production and quality data.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and work towards continuous production.
