Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an assembler for metal case production. You will perform metal case assembly, rivet and hardware installation, and ensure quality documentation throughout the process. The role includes testing, inspection, packaging, and occasional metal finishing or prototype runs.

As experience grows, you may train others and contribute to AI-driven productivity improvements by identifying suitable AI use cases and evaluating outputs for quality and cost savings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience with small hand tools preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal cases including rivets, brackets and hardware.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation.
• Test, inspect, and package products for shipment.
• Perform metal finishing and prototype running as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned and train others when competent.
• Identify appropriate AI use cases to improve productivity and cost efficiency.

Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• Responsible for all activities for quality operations of Metal Case Assembly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assembly of metal cases including insertion of rivets, brackets, and miscellaneous hardware.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation.
• Testing, inspection, and packaging of product.
• Metal finishing, prototype running, and other metal case production work.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience using small hand tools preferred.

SKILLS:

• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers.
