Job summary

Royston Group in Jasper, GA is hiring for Assembly (1st and 2nd shift). The role requires reading shop drawings and assembling furniture and public space materials, with emphasis on accuracy and pace on a production line.

You will fit drawers, doors, moldings, apply coverings, repair minor scratches, install hardware, and ensure high-quality cabinet assemblies. Expect physical work: standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must read shop drawings
• Experience assembling furniture and public space materials
• Familiar with tools used in cabinet assembly

Responsibilities

• Fit drawers, doors, moldings and related parts
• Apply and fit coverings on cases or other materials
• Adjust minor defects when fitting parts; repair dents and scratches
• Install and repair hardware when necessary
• Produce a quality assembly/cabinet
• Assemble parts rapidly and accurately without damage

Position Summary (major Areas Of Contribution)

Must be competent to read all shop drawings rapidly and accurately and be familiar with the assembly of all types of furniture, public space material, etc.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities

• Must be skilled in fitting drawers, doors, moldings, etc.
• Must be competent to apply and fit and type of covering required on cases or other material
• Must be competent to adjust minor defects when fitting parts and be able to remove dents and repair minor scratches
• Install and repair hardware when necessary
• Produce a quality assembly/cabinet
• Assemble parts rapidly and accurately without damage
• Must be familiar with and skilled in the use of all tools required
