Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure necessary parts and supplies and ensure accuracy throughout the process.

The role emphasizes following prescribed instructions, maintaining quality standards, and keeping a safe, clean, and organized work area. No heavy experience is required, but basic math and reliability are valued traits for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; 6 months manufacturing/assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together according to instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product as required.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Performs duties in line with safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
