Kratos C5ISR designs, engineers, and manufactures mission-critical technologies for defense, intelligence, and national security customers. The Assembler prepares products for final release, builds components and sub-assemblies, and ensures quality and cost targets are met.

You will read blueprints, use rivet guns, drills, sanders, and other tools, and follow procedures to install parts and complete assemblies on a fast-paced shop floor.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One-year related experience.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

The Assembler is responsible for preparing products for the final release to the customer and achieving quality and integrity of products at the lowest possible cost.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assemble components and sub‑assemblies using verbal and written instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
• Proficient in operating a variety of tools and equipment, including rivet guns, drills, sanders, grinders, routers, and other specialized tooling as required.
• Use appropriate tools and fixtures to assist with the installation or complete the installation of parts, sub‑assemblies, and modifications.
• Interpret blueprints, routings, tape measurements, and decimal‑to‑fraction conversion to ensure accurate assembly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Shop floor environment / shared workbench or workstation.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate constant noise (machine motors – large fans).
• Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions.
• Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
