Job summary

Epiroc Drilling Solutions, LLC in Two Harbors, MN is hiring for an Assembl er to construct and assemble hydraulic demolition attachments. You will work with large steel structures, read engineering drawings, and use various hand and power tools to meet quality and safety standards.

Join Our Team as an Assembler at Epiroc!
In this role, your mission will be to:
Assemble Demolition Attachments
  • Assemble hydraulic demolition shears and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Install hydraulic, mechanical, and structural components using hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, lift‑assist devices, and assembly fixtures.
  • Work with large fabricated steel structures and heavy attachment components while utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and material‑handling equipment.
Verify proper fit, alignment, torque specifications, and functionality of assembled products.
  • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and final inspection activities to ensure quality and performance requirements are achieved.
  • Complete assembly operations while maintaining established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude when diagnosing assembly issues and interpreting drawings.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing Operations
  • Follow standardized work instructions and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support 5S initiatives and maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area.
  • Assist with material staging, kitting, and inventory accuracy to support production flow.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to problem‑solving activities.
  • Quality & Safety Responsibilities
Experience and requirements:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Mechanically inclined and interested in building large industrial equipment and attachments.
  • Experienced in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, fabrication, maintenance, or related industrial work.
  • Able to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiar with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, lean manufacturing environment. We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn.

Location: Onsite in Two Harbors, MN

Shift Details: 1st Shift (6:30a-3:00p) M-F

Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of components/sub‑assemblies using various tools and following blueprints or specifications
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
  • Testing and troubleshooting of assemblies or systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical documents
  • Follow company safety practices and procedures to provide a safe work environment for allteam members, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Identifying and addressing safety hazards and suggesting corrective actions
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area according to 5S standards
  • End‑of‑shift cleanup and workspace maintenance
  • Cross‑functional tasks such as shipping, receiving, or inventory support may be required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Clear and professional communication with supervisors and coworkers is required.
  • May drive fork truck to load and unload trucks placing material in correct locations if certified.
  • Mobility to move within department/plant as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties, as required, to meet customer and company quality and productivity needs.

The compensation for this position is between $23.30-$29.50 depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.

Knowledge/Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to assist where needed
  • Must demonstrate the energy level, ability to learn, and attention to detail required to be effective
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
  • Continuous standing; repetitive motion of hand/wrist.
  • Frequent walking
  • Ability to lift up to 33 pounds.
  • Intermittent bending; crouching; repetitive motion of elbow/shoulder; pushing/pulling.
Work Environment

General plant; safety boots, safety glasses required. Hearing protection may be required based on position/department. Position requires good manual dexterity, standing a majority of shift, mobility to move within department/plant as assigned. Duties may be performed in a work environment with seasonal temperatures of high heat and/or humidity.
