Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is hiring an Assembly Technician to support manufacturing, assembly, and remanufacturing of parts. This role involves disassembling and rebuilding components, cleaning, painting, and inspecting assemblies prior to shipping.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license, and prefer an Associate degree or industrial training. Strong attention to detail and safety-minded work ethic are essential for daily operations on site in Sanford, NC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Industrial Skills Training/Certificate preferred.
• Ability to make precise coordinated movements of fingers to disassemble/assemble small objects.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal direction.
• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
• Ability to work without direction and retain prior instruction.
• Able to work continuously on feet.
• Able to lift, carry, and maneuver a maximum of 60 lbs.
• Must possess a safety-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate remanufactured parts including disassemble for remanufacture.
• Clean, prep, and paint assemblies for remanufacturing.
• Rebuild components to generate complete assemblies.
• Perform quality checks and final inspections prior to shipping parts.
• Rotate through all tasks required in production processes.
• Maintain paperwork to ensure data matches physical items.
• Operate machinery for manufacturing and assembly parts.
• Support machinist staff.
• Prepare parts for shipments to customer: cleaning, assembling, packaging.
