Job Details
Location: Campbellsville, KY
Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm (Mon.-Fri.); OT work until 4:30pm
Job Overview: Assemble various models of product at a bench or on the shop floor by performing the duties described below.
Responsibilities
- Assemble parts according to standard work, job breakdown sheets, bill of materials, work order instructions, and assembly drawings.
- Fasten parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners according to torque specifications.
- Operate pneumatic and manual presses, including setup as needed, to assist in assembly.
- Set up and operate identification equipment (stampers, labelers, etc.).
- Test product for specifications using manual and automatic test equipment.
- Paint, label, and pack completed product for shipment.
- Achieve daily departmental productivity and quality levels.
- Follow all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment.
- Report mechanical/machine malfunctions or supply/tool needs to the Team Lead.
- Handle product to and from stock.
- Perform in-process testing and make necessary corrections to meet standard work and Procedures for Qualification (PFQ).
- Notify team lead of non-conformance material and report changes in work orders, bill of materials, and pick lists.
- Contribute to department/cell communication boards; check off and sign work order cover sheets; complete daily hour-by-hour production sheets.
- Maintain work area in accordance with 5S standards; identify and report all safety issues to the team lead.
- Participate and/or lead continuous improvement events and training; suggest ideas for area process improvements.
- Cross-train across multiple product lines; perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
Core Competencies
- Knowledge of and willingness to comply with general work rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Ability to plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
- Ability to operate equipment including power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
- Ability to identify and correct routine problems; willingness to learn.
- Broad working knowledge of standard work instructions.
- Team oriented and able to work cohesively with others.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
Preferences
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiar with and able to use hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, steel banding).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of business processes.
- Familiar with and able to use power tools.
- Knowledgeable about computer systems.
