Job summary

Creation Technologies is seeking a manufacturing associate to assemble printed circuit boards, electronic components and subassemblies in a production setting. You will follow MPIs, production drawings and sample assemblies to maintain quality and efficiency.

The role requires reading and interpreting MPI, documenting work, and maintaining ESD and safety procedures. Starting wage is $22.00 per hour with full-time benefits and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training
• Soldering skills to perform plated through-hole and basic SMT tasks
• Knowledge of IPC A-610 specifications is required
• Ability to read and understand MPI and production drawings
• Good manual dexterity and basic math abilities

Responsibilities

• Reads and performs tasks per MPIs, production drawings, samples and verbal instructions
• Works within defined labor standards and schedules to meet quality goals
• Follows proper ESD procedures and material handling guidelines
• Understands and follows corporate policies and procedures
• Performs complex assembly tasks including de-paneling, lead trimming and soldering to IPC A-610 Class II standards
• Performs basic rework of PTH assemblies as needed

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reads and performs assigned tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions
• Performs assigned work within defined labor standards, stated production schedules, and corporate quality goals
• Follows proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures at all times and is knowledgeable of and performs job in accordance with proper material handling procedures and guidelines
• The employee shall be knowledgeable of and perform job functions in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
• Creation has established metrics with job performance goals and objectives
  • The employee shall understand the metrics that apply to his or her job and understand how they contribute to the overall corporate objectives
• Performs complex tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, customer provided documentation, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions
• Post Wave specific: Performs essential complex assembly tasks, using power de-paneling and lead trimming equipment, pneumatic power tools and automated wash equipment; Performs soldering of 'plated' through-hole (PTH) components or surface mount components (SMT) and displays a proficiency and ability to achieve IPC A 610 Class II workmanship standards; Performs basic rework of PTH electronic assemblies to correct or modify according to instructions

Education And Experience Required

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Component identification skills for both PTH and SMT components, including polarity, are required
• Familiarity with use of calibrated tools used for assembly, measurement and verification, such as pneumatic power tools, torque drivers or critical measurement tools such as calipers and pin or hole gauges is required
• Soldering skills to perform all plated through-hole tasks and basic installation or touch up of surface mount components are required for this position
• Knowledge of rework techniques for PTH assemblies is required
• Working knowledge of IPC A-610 specifications is required
• Ability to perform simple computer related tasks such as data entry, look up information related to job tasks, and email
• This position requires good manual dexterity, good vision and the ability to stay seated for long periods of time
• Must possess the ability to read and speak English to comprehend moderately complex written and verbal instruction
• Must have the ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers
• Have some understanding of basic metric measurements and tolerances as they apply to dimensional measurements of manufacturing processes and drawings
• Ability to apply common sense and good judgment to carry out detailed, moderately complex written or verbal instructions

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is at $22.00 per hour. Full-time employees are also eligible for benefits and performance-based bonuses. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
