Job summary

Kurt Manufacturing in Minnesota is seeking an assembler to produce and assemble machine parts per specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, drilling presses, and performing basic quality checks. Standard shift is Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with reliable attendance expected.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, and strong math skills for metric conversions and blueprint interpretation. Preferred: 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Metric system conversions knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow blueprints to assemble parts accurately.
  • Fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets and hand tools.
  • May remove small amounts of metal to fit parts.
  • Operate drill presses or other assembly equipment as needed.
  • Inspect and test assembled components.

Job Summary

The Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling machine parts according to specifications.

Shift/Hours: Mon-Friday 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $20.24 to $27.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions
  • Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts, partially or completely, in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners, using hand tools.
  • May remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce fit between parts.
  • May operate drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines or other mechanical devices to assist in assembly operation.
  • May inspect and test assembly.

Required
