Job summary

JFlow Controls in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a capable maintenance technician to support valve assembly and testing operations. You will prepare parts, operate basic shop equipment, and keep work areas clean and safe while supporting production goals.

The role requires a high school diploma with industrial experience, the ability to learn technical product information quickly, and a proactive, multi-tasking approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years industrial experience.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical product information.
  • Must be able to lift products and work near moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Prepares valve assemblies and parts for testing, including driving studs, hand tapping, and general light assembly.
  • Assist with test setup and inventory monitoring.
  • Operates drill presses and hand grinders, and uses hand tools as needed to balance and trim components.
  • Assists in monitoring inventory and physical counts when needed.

  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and neatly, while multitasking
  • Performs minor maintenance of tools and makes minor adjustments to equipment operated
  • Participates and complies with all safety standards and training
  • Operates forklift and other rigging equipment
  • Assists in monitoring inventory and physical inventory counts when needed.
  • Prepares valve assemblies and parts for testing, including driving studs, hand tapping, and general light assembly
  • Assist with test setup
  • Operates drill presses and hand grinders, and uses some mechanics; hand tools are required to assisting to correct balances and to remove excess metals.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts (exposure – 15% of work hours.)
  • Risk of electrical shock (exposure – 5% of work hours)
Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of industrial experience

Experience
  • Experience in service of valves, valve automation, instrumentation a plus

  • Ability to quickly learn technical product information
  • Self-starter, able to take initiative and provide results independently
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
Tools
  • Basic hand tools which include screwdrivers, wrenches, ratches, etc.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting of products. Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch
