Job summary

Hansgrohe North America in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an Assembly Technician on 1st and 2nd shift responsible for assembling and packing products according to BOMs and assembly procedures.

You will test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances, read BOMs, and follow ISO 9001/OSHAS safety rules while rotating between stations and maintaining accurate daily production sheets, with an emphasis on attendance and safe lifting requirements.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret Bill of Materials (BOM) for product assembly.
• Ability to assemble parts at subassembly and full unit levels with hand or power tools.
• Must test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Must follow ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 and safety rules while performing duties.
• Maintain good attendance and ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

To assemble and pack products using work instructions and bill of materials (BOM) in accordance with assembly procedures and standards for that specific product. 1st and 2nd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembles fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units using hands or power/pneumatic tools.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Must exercise good judgment in recognizing defects and producing quality workmanship.
• Must be able to read Bill of Material (BOM) in assembly of product
• Must be able to meet production standards
• Fill out daily production sheet.
• Attention to detail in packing product and following work instructions for each product.
• Rotates between different work stations on a regular basis.
• Successfully interacts with co-workers in the work cell and department in meeting production goals.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and job Hazard analysis (JHAs).
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Participate in physical inventory.
• Responsible for working safely at all times. Adhere to all Hansgrohe safety rules, policy, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Lead/supervisor/manager.
• Frequently lift up to 40 lbs and for objects over 40 lbs get assistance in lifting.
• Maintain “good attendance” as per the Hansgrohe attendance policy.
• Adhere to and fulfill all requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Relieson instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Mustbe able to work from verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to add and subtract numbers (5th grade level) also must be able to multiply numbers.

Education and Experience:

Highschool diploma preferred, but experience may be substituted. Primary job functions require exercising independent judgment.
