Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service and repair material handling equipment in our automated warehouse. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, and work with welding and electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English fluency, and progressive maintenance experience. Expect a full-time schedule with day shifts and a starting wage of $35–$41 per hour depending on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; required for all maintenance positions.
• Fluency in English; speak, read, and write.
• Level I requires six months of commercial or industrial maintenance related experience.
• Level II requires two years of commercial or industrial maintenance related experience.
• Five years related experience or equivalent combination in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance in a distribution center or industrial environment targeting one or more: material handling equipment, power lift equipment, electronic / electrical installation and equipment diagnosis, or facilities maintenance.
• Operates shop tools such as a grinder, drill press, cutting torch and welding machine to repair or join metal parts.
• Adheres to all maintenance safe work practices and maintains a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
• Disassemble, inspect, and repair defective parts on equipment.
• Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunction.
• Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
• Clean machines and paint as needed to prevent corrosion.
• Install or recharge batteries for battery-powered equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment including sorters, conveyors, and cranes.
• Utilize Maximo CMMS to monitor, report, and document usage and parts replacement.
• Perform preventive maintenance on power lift equipment and facility tasks (carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
• Hands-on operation of ARC and MIG welding equipment.
