The State of Illinois, Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services, is hiring a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Trainee (UMP). This position supports individuals with disabilities to achieve competitive integrated employment, with training lasting up to twelve months and the use of manual communication for Deaf/Hard of Hearing clients.

HQ in Chicago Heights with hybrid work options.

Formación

• Master’s Degree from a CORE-accredited program (or related field)
• Ability to pass the sign language assessment at the advanced level

Responsabilidades

• Serves as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Trainee for up to 12 months; receives orientation and training on rehabilitation policies and procedures.
• Learns to use the Division’s case management system.
• Travel to attend staff meetings, conferences, and trainings related to rehabilitation counseling.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of rehabilitation counseling.
