Job summary

OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse) for a per diem role. You will work under RN supervision, performing vital signs, basic care, and data collection while supporting the care team in a rehabilitation setting.

The position requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) and proof of completion of the first year of fundamentals of nursing.

Qualifications

  • This position requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing school and proof of completion of first year/fundamentals of nursing.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Excellent communication and ability to follow instructions to maintain effective working relations.

Responsibilities

  • Record vital signs, height, weight and demographics.
  • Assist with daily patient care and hygiene (bathing, oral hygiene, etc.).
  • Assist with intake & output, specimens collection, and routine tests as directed.
  • Assist in transferring, turning, and positioning patients safely.
  • Deliver meals and document oral intake and supplements.
  • Maintain room cleanliness and restock supplies; prepare room for occupancy.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients aged 13 and older.
