Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of study.
• Basic knowledge of safety and environmental principles and techniques.
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry.
• Willing to work standard hours and overtime as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing safety programs and loss control on construction projects and offices.
• Identify and report safety violations and unsafe practices with emphasis on imminent danger.
• Coordinate safety duties for committees, preconstruction meetings, and toolbox talks.
• Assist with safety trainings, orientations, and site inspections.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with company and client requirements.
• Promote safe work practices in alignment with regulations and project requirements.
• Maintain safety records and incident metrics as directed.
• Support orientation sessions and participate in site visits as needed.
