Job summary

Dayton Independent Schools Dayton High School in Dayton, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Bowling Coach to support the head coach and athletic director. The position is a term-contract, with schedule set by the superintendent, and begins immediately.

Responsibilities include directing practices, reporting scores, managing equipment, attending meetings and camps, and collaborating with other coaches to develop the bowling program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport and the desire to improve knowledge.
• Teaching skills and professional attitude.
• Disciplinarian with a good rapport with athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assume any duty assigned by the head coach (scouting, supervisory duties, segments of practice sessions, etc.)
• Direct practice sessions.
• Report scores to local papers and television stations.
• Help distribute, collect, evaluate and inventory equipment and uniforms.
• Attend meetings, clinics and practices.
• Remain in touch with the athletes concerning their lives in and out of school throughout the year.
• Work closely with other coaches in the total athletic program.
• Assist in conducting summer camps and taking team to varsity camps.
• Assist in running tournaments on the J. V./Varsity level.
