Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking an Aspire Program Instructor to facilitate curriculum and hands-on living-skill activities for program participants. You will assess participants, determine placements, and manage a small caseload to support individualized goals and progress.

The role focuses on delivering structured lessons, tracking outcomes, and coordinating services across the Disability Services department at the Lawrenceville Workforce Development Center in Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, tutoring, or facilitating instruction.
• Database and/or case management software to track participant and program progress.
• Student teaching and practicum experiences will be considered as work experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily program operations through Aspire curriculum and structured activities, supporting participants to achieve individualized goals and access appropriate resources.
• Develop and implement structured lesson plans aligned with program goals and participant learning needs.
• Develop rubrics, progress-monitoring tools, and other evaluation methods to track participant outcomes and inform instruction.
• Provide career exploration and coaching through assessments and individualized participant meetings.
• Transition effectively between virtual and in-person instruction using appropriate technology and classroom tools.
• Reinforce instructional content through structured Aspire activities that promote real-world skill application and independence.
• Implement individualized programmatic, behavioral, and developmental supports, including assistive technology and accommodations.
• Maintain a small caseload (up to 10 participants) and oversee records, services, and progress.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Goodwill units and community partners.
