Job summary

CRH is seeking a skilled asphalt paving machine operator for its Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division. The role focuses on controlling the paving machine, material feed, and ensuring quality overlay on road projects.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of asphalt/road construction experience and a high school diploma or GED. Shift differential may apply, with competitive benefits and opportunities within a large international organization.

This is a highly skilled position involving the control and operation of the asphalt paving machine.

Requirements

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Control material taken into the paver and the depths of material distributed through the machine.
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related asphalt and road construction experience.
