Job summary

Byrne & Jones in Kentucky is seeking a Roller Operator to safely operate asphalt compaction equipment for commercial and municipal paving projects. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and a clean driving record.

Roller Operator

The Roller Operator is responsible for safely operating asphalt compaction equipment to achieve proper density, smoothness, and quality on commercial, municipal, and roadway paving projects. This position works closely with the paving foreman, paver operator, and crew members to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, meeting company quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to operate various pieces of compaction equipment in the process of Breakdown & / or Finish Rolling process of asphalt paving
• Perform general maintenance and inspection on the equipment
• Assist crew members in the completion of work where required
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, customers & public
• Strict adherence to safety requirements & procedures

Qualifications
