This full-time role requires operating a hot mix asphalt plant and coordinating with crews to meet production goals. You will supervise daily plant activities, ensure safety compliance under OSHA rules, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to

• 5+ years of experience operating a hot mix asphalt plant.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and travel as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Strong attendance and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hot mix asphalt plant to meet production goals.
• Move raw materials through the mixing drum and store in silos for delivery.
• Operate plant computer systems.
• Coordinate with QC to ensure quality mixes.
• Assist foreman with scheduling, inventory, and records.
• Communicate with road crews, drivers, dispatchers, and customers.
• Schedule and perform routine plant maintenance.
• Order and maintain plant parts and supplies.
• Supervise plant staff and enforce safety policies.

Capital Materials, Paving & Construction is expanding quickly and looking for experienced Asphalt Plant Operators looking to relocate to the Midwest with a growing company.Benefits:- Competitive Pay - Relocation Package- Paid Holidays - Company Vehicle for work related travel- Paid Time Off - Medical, Dental, Vision, etc- Bonus PotentialRESPONSIBILITIES· Operate a hot mix asphalt plant efficiently to obtain all production goals· Move raw aggregate and liquid asphalt materials through the mixing drum to be stored in silos until ready for delivery to the job sites or to be loaded into trucks· Operate the plant computer systems· Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure a quality mix is being produced· Assist the foreman and superintendents with material ordering, scheduling, inventory management, and record keeping· Effectively communicate with road crews, drivers, dispatchers, and external customers· Schedule and perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual plant maintenance· Order and maintain inventory of plant parts, grease, asphalt oil· Supervise and set expectations for plant employees· Supervise daily activities and ensure safety policies are being followed at the plant· Adhere to OSHA rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment.· Perform other job responsibilities as assignedREQUIREMENTS· General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment· General knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems· Welding ability is preferred but not required· 5+ years of experience operating a hot mix asphalt plant is preferred· Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.· Must have a positive attitude and work well with others when under pressure· Must be able to work with and manage a team on all types of projects· Lift/move up to 50 lbs.· Work outdoors in all weather conditions· Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed· Reliable transportation· Willing to travel/work out of town, as needed· Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background checkThis is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
