The Plant Operator is responsible for the management of the asphalt plant and asphalt production.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Asphalt Plant Operator directly reports to the Asphalt Plant Foreman.
Responsibilities
- Prepare end of day plant reports as directed
- Maintain yard and plant to exceed environmental requirements and control room in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintain plant settings and recordation of plant statistics as directed by the Plant Foreman
- Document plant records in the plant diary relating to plant repairs and maintenance as it becomes necessary Report findings to the Plant Foreman
- Coordinate with outside sales customers as necessary

- Familiarity with computers
- Mechanical and electrical background
- Construction background

The essential functions of this position include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting a minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low-level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
