Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to support maintenance and production functions on projects that matter. You will work with supervisors, follow safety rules, and contribute to plant efficiency while operating equipment effectively.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, welding/cutting experience, and familiarity with haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment. Weigh Master license may be required in some states.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to the various supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in Maintenance & Production functions

• Safely perform maintenance activities to insure plant efficiency
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment and areas.
• Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION
• Communicates effectively and timely with staff
• Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all times
• Internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures
• Ability to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment
• Ability to operate equipment effectively
• Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas

• Required Work Experience: Must have previous welding, cutting experience. Haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment experience.
• Required Training/Certifications: Weigh Master License may be required in some states.
• Required Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software
• Travel Requirements: N/A

Additional Requirements

• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
