Job summary

Knife River Northwest is seeking a reliable Asphalt Plant Operator to manage daily plant operations, ensure safety, and maintain production quality at our Oregon facility. The role requires at least two years of plant experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work nights or weekends during paving season.

You will coordinate with plant personnel and customers to meet schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum two (2) years experience in asphalt plant operation.
• Must be able to monitor multiple plant systems for production of a quality and profitable product.
• Must be able to work in high and confined spaces.
• Need good math skills and the ability to work with statistical specifications with a high degree of accuracy.
• Requires skills in planning, organization, communication, and observation.
• Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, operators manual, instructions, and maintain operators log.
• Must have mechanical ability with welding, fabrication, and good troubleshooting skills.
• Need a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
