Western Engineering Co., Inc. is seeking a dependable Asphalt Plant Loader Operator to join our team in Iowa and Nebraska. This role involves operating a front-end loader to feed aggregate bins, manage stockpiles, and load trucks while supporting plant production and quality.

The ideal candidate will have loader experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to perform basic inspections. Travel to multiple plant sites and overtime during peak season are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or heavy equipment in asphalt/construction.
• Strong safety commitment and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to feed aggregate bins and maintain plant production.
• Manage and organize stockpiles to prevent contamination and increase efficiency.
• Load trucks with aggregates as needed.
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Communicate with plant operators, drivers, mechanics, and supervisors.
• Support routine plant maintenance and general labor as needed.
• Work extended hours, weekends, and overtime during peak season.
