Job summary

Walbec Group's asphalt manufacturing plants seek an Asphalt Plant Helper/Operator to help operate, maintain, and repair equipment for producing asphalt mix used in paving operations under the Foreman’s supervision.

You will learn to operate several related construction equipment, monitor material flow, and support loading trucks while upholding safety and quality standards across shifts in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Punctual and dependable; ability to work varied hours including nights and weekends.
• Ability to work in variable weather, dirty and dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate and monitor equipment to produce high-quality asphalt mix.
• Load out trucks and assist in material distribution.
• Maintain clean work site and operate equipment as needed.
• Replace wear components and work at elevated platforms.
• Monitor material gradations and test results to ensure specifications.

Under the direction of the Foreman, the Plant Helper/Operator will help operate, maintain, and repair the equipment used to produce asphalt mix for our paving operations while learning how to operate several types of related

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety requirements to maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work site through shoveling, sweeping, and skid steer operation. Monitor equipment operation for consistent flow of materials to produce high-quality, in-spec hot mix asphalt for internal
• and external customers Load out trucks for material distribution
• utilizing computerized operations Feed aggregate materials into the asphalt plant Replace wear components on plant equipment (including cutting, welding, fabricating) Work on elevated platforms as well as
• enter and monitor confined spaces Monitor aggregate gradations and moisture contents to ensure consistency of materials Monitor hot mix
• asphalt test results to verify finish materials are consistent, of high quality, and are produced within job specifications Use equipment such
