Job summary

Hyatt Paving is seeking a skilled Paving Operator with at least 3 years of hands-on asphalt paving experience. The role requires operating pavers and rollers, ensuring proper setup and alignment, and maintaining high workmanship on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects.

The ideal candidate will read site plans, monitor material flow, and conduct routine equipment inspections while adhering to OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating asphalt paving equipment.
• Strong understanding of paving techniques, grade control, and surface requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and grade stakes preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, and related machinery.
• Assist with proper setup, alignment, and calibration of paving equipment prior to operation.
• Monitor material flow and mat consistency to ensure smooth, even application.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Work closely with crew members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
