We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, experienced Asphalt Paving Milling Machine Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Discuss plans and goals for the day's work with the field manager and determine the best method of getting assigned work done safely, productively, and on time.
• Perform physical duties that are commonly associated with the safe and productive operation of said piece of equipment.
• Perform equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing, and maintaining fluid levels on equipment.
• Operate equipment with priority on making the job safe for all persons working around the equipment.
• Communicate clearly with other crew members in a manner commensurate with teamwork in order to accomplish daily goals.
• Practice safety in every move, estimating weights and distances, being fully aware of surroundings, minimizing hazards, and reporting any injuries or damage immediately.
• Accurately interpret plans and surveyed layout.
• Store and clean machinery at its designated location and complete work reports at the end of each working day.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior Asphalt Milling experience on an asphalt crew.
• Proficiency in the safe operation of Heavy Civil Equipment.
• OSHA 10 construction Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 64 pounds.
• The ability to stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb, or balance.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Pass Pre-Employment Drug & Background screenings.
