Qualifications

Prior experience in heavy highway construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of general labor duties on a road construction project with a heavy highway crew or on a production crew. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, stripping and cleaning concrete forms, pouring concrete, shoveling, vibrating, and maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards. Experience working around asphalt and operating equipment is beneficial.

Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel, and pass a physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools, their uses, and basic mathematical and measurement skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Prior construction experience is preferred.
• Maintain reliable attendance, meet company standards, and uphold a positive attitude.
