VCI Construction, LLC. is looking for an Asphalt Concrete Laborer to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will engage in all phases of underground construction such as asphalt raking, rolling, and equipment operation.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to work safely, and possess a valid driver’s license. We offer competitive wages ranging from $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, along with a variety of benefits including paid time off and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Previous experience with hand tools preferred.
• Valid State driver's license with a good record.

At VCI Construction, as an Asphalt Concrete Laborer on our team, you’ll participate in all phases of underground construction, including asphalt raking, asphalt rolling, loading, delivery, digging, and equipment operation.

What you’ll do

Perform construction tasks including asphalt raking, asphalt rolling, loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment

Install underground telecommunications cabling

Operate construction equipment, and maintain work areas

Clearly communicate with all team members

Complete daily production reports

Help with site restoration efforts

Perform work in all weather conditions

Other duties as assigned

Work independently with coworkers, customers, and others in places where interactions are unsupervised

Provide accurate and reliable information to others in the company

Requires a routine amount of driving for work, which must be performed safely

Requires safe and responsible computer and related technology use

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks, is preferred
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Asphalt Concrete Laborer is $20.00 - $26.00.
