Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks is seeking an Industrial Boiler Fabrication Welder (ASME Trainee) in Thomasville, GA. You’ll fabricate and align structural metal parts, operate cutting torches, and work toward ASME certification while learning from skilled mentors.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork with a Monday–Thursday night schedule (4:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m.). Training and progression toward ASME tests are core to this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; reading, writing, and math proficiency required.
• Technical welding training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, lay out, position, align, and fit structural metal parts per drawings and process documents.
• Operate cutting torches; perform carbon arc gouging as required.
• Use tapes, levels, and similar devices to verify tolerances.
• Develop and apply foundational welding techniques en route to passing basic ASME tests within the defined time frame.
• Accurately record time using the company’s timekeeping system.
• Comply with all plant safety rules and procedures.
• Support the team with additional tasks assigned by the Cell Leader or Foreman.
