Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based position in West Columbia, SC for the 2026-2027 school year. You will provide interpreting services in American Sign Language (ASL) throughout the school day to support a student’s learning and social interactions.

The role is suitable for experienced school interpreters or those new to the school setting. Competitive pay up to $50/hour, W-2 employment, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Proof of EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
• Proof of Written EIPA test - passing score.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team.
