Job summary

Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD) in Delavan, WI, seeks an Educational Assistant to support students in a bilingual ASL-immersive environment. This 80% full-time, school-year role offers close collaboration with teachers and staff to meet academic, behavioral, social, and communication goals.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with students in an educational setting.
• Have American Sign Language fluency.
• Be licensed or have eligibility for licensure as a Special Education Program Aide (070) with the Department of Public Instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction, assessments, materials, technology, and daily classroom operations while supporting students in accordance with IEPs.
• Provide supervision and instruction to students in daily living skills, behavior management, recreational activities, and structured programs.
• Participate in required professional development, training, meetings, and evaluations to support student services.
