Job description

Position Overview

The Division of Medical Oncology & Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Louisville is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor to teach Hematology/Oncology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students while providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. The faculty member will also participate in clinical service, on‑call coverage, and service rotations at University of Louisville Health hospitals and clinics. In addition, the position involves contributing to clinical trials, basic science and translational research, supporting multidisciplinary cancer programs, and designing and contributing to protocol development and prospective clinical research. Clinical practice will occur at the University of Louisville Medical Center, Norton Hospital, and other affiliated hospitals and clinics in Louisville and Southern Kentucky (Shepherdsville).

  • Devote a significant portion of time to protocol development and prospective clinical research.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree: MD, MD/PhD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Oncology & Hematology Fellowship Training program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology & Hematology specialties.
