Key job responsibilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Relationship Management
- - Partner with NPI and OSAT teams to establish clear work models, ownership, and expectations
- - Build trust-based relationships with OSAT while maintaining urgency and accountability
- - Collaborate with NPI engineers on test issue debugging while prioritizing production needs
Production Operations & Issue Management
- - Own and maintain ATE test programs for RF DBF ASICs at wafer sort (WS) and final test (FT)
- - Monitor production yield, investigate yield excursions, and drive root cause analysis
- - Analyze ATE data to identify test program issues, limit escapes, and GR&R guard-banding problems
- - Correlate ATE measurements with bench data to debug QA fails and identify test escapes
- - Implement test program improvements and validate fixes before production deployment
- - Support OSAT teams in resolving tester hardware, load board, and test program issues
- - Manage lot holds, disposition decisions, and safe launch activities for new product introduction
- - Manage SW/HW consignment to OSAT and respond to daily production issues (yield, QA failures, line downtime, data issues, logistics)
Quality & Yield Optimization
- - Proactively identify quality concerns from OSAT reports and site visits (repetitive failures, abnormal behavior changes
- - Highlight yield improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- - Monitor production metrics and alert stakeholders to deviations from target
Cost Reduction & Efficiency
- - Support NPI cost reduction campaigns (test time reduction, multi-site testing, hardware simplification)
- - Identify and eliminate cost adders, redundant work, and material waste
- - Improve throughput and resource utilization
Supplier Management & Scaling
- - Define capacity scaling criteria for OSAT partners
- - Evaluate and qualify new OSAT sources using defined metrics, execution plans, and correlation reports
Data & Analytics
- - Leverage internal production monitoring systems to query real-time yield data and consignment status across multiple OSAT site
- - Implement automated alerts using AI tools to notify stakeholders of missed targets
Basic Qualifications:
- - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- - 5+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering (ATE or bench) and or product engineering.
- - Experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne UltraFLEX, Advantest, or similar
- - Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language for data analysis
- - Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP, Excel)
- - Experience with RF and/or digital ATE
Preferred Qualifications:
- - Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- - Experience with bench setup automation
- - Experience with RF bench equipment - signal generators, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, power meters
- - Exposure to RF IC fundamentals- mixers, PLLs, amplifiers, filters, beamforming concepts
- - Experience with mm Wave or phased array / DBF / RFFE ASIC testing
- - Experience with wafer sort and final test at OSAT facilities
- - Exposure to RMA debug and failure analysis workflows
