Job description

About the Team

Join a leading High-Speed Optics engineering team developing next-generation optical modules and interfaces for high-performance data center and enterprise networking applications. The team is responsible for the design, integration, and validation of advanced optical communication technologies that deliver higher bandwidth, lower power consumption, and exceptional reliability.

Working in a collaborative and innovative environment, you will contribute to cutting-edge optical IC development while helping shape the future of high-speed optical communications.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced ASIC Engineering Technical Leader to lead the design and development of high-speed analog integrated circuits for optical transceiver applications. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role involving transistor‑level circuit design, silicon validation, technical mentoring, and ownership of complex chip development from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, simulate, layout, characterize, and productize high-speed analog ICs in CMOS technologies.
  • Design high-speed analog building blocks including Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) and Driver circuits.
  • Lead the development of complex ASICs, providing technical direction and mentoring to engineering team members.
  • Drive project execution by tracking technical deliverables and participating in design reviews.
  • Establish robust analog design methodologies from concept through production.
  • Collaborate closely with packaging, hardware, and system teams to ensure signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) requirements are achieved.
  • Define wafer test strategies, qualification plans, and support product validation activities.
  • Contribute to silicon characterization, measurement, debugging, and product optimization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or master's in electrical engineering or a relevant PhD. with several years of relevant experience
Required Technical Experience

Strong hands‑on experience in the design, simulation, and measurement of:

High-Speed Analog ICs

  • Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs)
  • Linear Drivers
  • Programmable Gain Amplifiers (PGAs)
  • Equalization circuits and techniques

Core Analog Circuits

  • Bias circuits
  • Voltage regulators
  • Operational amplifiers (Op-Amps)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications
  • CMOS and FinFET process technologies
  • High-frequency analog layout techniques
  • Passive component design, including inductors, transformers, and transmission lines
  • Chip floorplanning, including power distribution, grounding, and analog/digital signal routing
  • Custom transistor-level layout
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Silicon characterization, wafer testing, and product qualification
  • Cadence Virtuoso
  • Spectre, Spectre APS, and Spectre X
  • MATLAB
  • EMX electromagnetic simulation
