Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an entry-level maintenance technician for the MD Fill - A1 Shift (6am-6:30pm, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday) in Texas. This role will perform preventive and demand maintenance under supervision, building a foundation for a career in the Skilled Trades.

You will work with Senior Technicians across multiple maintenance areas, gain exposure to calibration, equipment operation, and troubleshooting, and participate in vocational training to advance your skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Completion or enrollment in a trade/technical program is a plus.
• Basic to intermediate mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read engineering documentation.
• Willingness to obtain aseptic gown certification.

Job Description

This is our MD Fill - A1 Shift -6am-6:30pm Sunday/Monday/Tuesday & every other Wednesday

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie's Code of Business Conduct
• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.

Maintenance Duties

• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
• Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• HS diploma with relevantexperience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
• Basic to intermediateMechanical/ElectricalAptitude: knowledge of production equipment, machinery, and hand tools
• Equipment Calibration:Ability to adjust and calibrate machinery using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers (Preferred)
• Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting:Proficiency in operating industrial equipment and diagnosing technical issues (Preferred)
• Competency reading engineering documentation and potentially using production software
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Must have the ability to become aseptic gown certified
• Mechanical and electrical experience highly preferred
• Industrial machine repair and maintenance experience highly preferred

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this roleat thetimeofthis posting based on the job grade for this position.Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on manyfactors including geographiclocation,andwemay ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may bemodified in thefuture.
