Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Texas seeks a Maintenance Technician to join its industrial maintenance team.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, operate basic power tools, and work with senior technicians to develop multi-craft skills in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role requires a high school diploma or technical certificate, basic computer skills (MS Windows), and willingness to obtain aseptic gown certification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or relevant certificate.
• Completion or enrollment in a technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance.
• Ability to operate basic power and hand tools.
• Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Aseptic gown certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s Code of Business Conduct
• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
• Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Knowledge and Ability

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Must be able to become aseptic gown certified.
• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
• Mechanical experience preferred
• Electrical experience preferred
• Industrial equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and set-up (preferred)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

Compensation
