Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in Tampa, FL seeks a Rotating Night Shift Operator to perform sterilization-related tasks and maintain clean, compliant manufacturing areas. Start pay is $18.50 per hour, with responsibilities including equipment prep, documentation, and material transfers.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, be detail oriented, and able to work extended shifts and weekends. Training on SOPs, EHS, and HR will be provided; benefits include standard U.S. offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and disinfects aseptic and nonsterile manufacturing areas.
  • Transfers material, equipment, and components into the aseptic area.
  • Prepares basic parts for sterilization.
  • Prepares disinfecting agents for use. Disassembles, cleans, and prepares filling and compounding equipment for sterilization.
  • Document activities in batch records/logbooks.
  • Assist with loading autoclaves/dry heat oven.
  • Meet training requirements during the year (SOP, EHS, and HR).
  • Support OpEx and EHS initiatives and compliance with GMP/ISO.
  • Attend OpEx initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Shift: Rotating Night Shift / 6:00pm – 6:00am

Start Pay Range: $18.50

Objectives/Purpose Of The Job

The job functions and responsibilities include basic proficient operation of sterilization equipment, line disinfection, equipment cleaning, component transfer, and proper documentation practices.

Key Activities/Responsibilities/Job Functions
  • Cleans and disinfects aseptic and nonsterile manufacturing areas.
  • Transfers material, equipment, and components into the aseptic area.
  • Prepares basic parts for sterilization.
  • Prepares disinfecting agents for use. Disassembles, cleans, and prepares filling and compounding equipment for sterilization.
  • Properly document all activities and operations correctly and on time in the batch record/logbook.
  • Assists with loading autoclaves/dry heat oven.
  • Meets and maintains all required training during the year (SOP, EHS, and HR).
  • Support operational excellence and EHS initiatives.
  • Assume responsibility for the GMP, ISO, EHS awareness and compliance within the respective area.
  • Attend and participate in OpEx improvement initiatives such as reducing costs and OEE improvements.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
