Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support aseptic filling operations on site. You will apply engineering practices to improve safety, quality, productivity and capacity under guidance from Sr Engineers or Production Management.

Responsibilities include KPI development, supporting capital projects, applying Lean methods, and ensuring compliance with site and industry standards. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Controls, Computer, Mechanical, etc.).
• 1-3 years plant manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of control systems and PLC programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (technical writing/presentation).
• Independent work and priority setting capability.
• English as the primary business language.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems to identify and measure KPIs (uptime, downtime, scrap, yield).
• Identify site capacity constraints and provide timely solutions.
• Use Lean tools to reduce process variability and improve efficiency.
• Manage related capital projects within budget and schedule.
• Provide ongoing technical support for aseptic filling operations.
• Analyze production issues and implement shop-floor improvements.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, quality and engineering teams.
• Prepare URS, risk and safety assessments for projects.
• Ensure GMP compliance and proper documentation.
