Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Process Engineer for Aseptic Filling & Formulation Support to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in RTP, NC. The role focuses on aseptic filling, formulation, and compounding processes within a GMP environment, supporting capital projects and technology transfers.

The position is a long-term, open-ended contract requiring onsite work in RTP, NC. The candidate will collaborate with Manufacturing, Validation, Automation, and Quality teams to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/pharmaceutical engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience in GMP environments.
• Hands-on aseptic filling experience in sterile manufacturing operations.
• Experience with injectable/parenteral drug product manufacturing and sterile formulation.
• Knowledge of sterile formulation, compounding, and aseptic processing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for aseptic filling operations.
• Support startup, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness for filling lines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process/equipment performance to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Review and optimize aseptic manufacturing workflows and processes.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Validation, Automation, and Quality teams on project execution.
• Participate in technology transfer, process scale-up, and manufacturing readiness programs.
• Serve as owner's representative for capital projects from design to implementation.
• Interface with engineering firms, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop process documentation and technical reports.
