Job summary

Pfizer in McPherson, Kansas is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician to support aseptic and controlled environments. You will perform basic monitoring tasks, document results, and ensure GMP compliance under guidance from senior EM techs and supervisors.

This role requires a high school diploma, aseptic gowning qualification, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a team setting. Overtime, night shifts, and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 0+ years of experience.
• Must achieve and maintain aseptic gowning qualification.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and computer skills such as data entry, along with a high level of attention to detail.
• A demonstrated ability to organise time independently, and to multi-task in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic environmental monitoring tasks for aseptic environments and other controlled areas following SOPs and GMP documents.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in a GMP compliant and safe manner.
• Document all tasks within computerized systems (MODA, LIMS) or paper documentation utilizing GDP principles.
• Enter data contemporaneously into laboratory logbooks as applicable for tasks per SOP.
• Partner with operations and other site departments for GMP process support.
• Perform Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) alarm acknowledgement.
• Attend daily and weekly team/department meetings.
• Complete task management tools and handover communications.
• Perform general lab tasks including sample management, cleaning and equipment preparation.
• Maintain training for all required tasks.
