Job summary

CJ's Tire & Automotive in Birdsboro, PA is seeking an Automotive Technician Training Manager to lead the ongoing training and development of technicians across stores. The ATTM will report to the Director of Retail Operations and direct classroom, workshop, and on-site training to maintain technical excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of Automotive Repair experience.
• High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in Automotive Repair preferred.
• ASE certifications required; Master Certification preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; insurance eligibility.
• PA Inspection and Emissions licenses and Mobile Refrigeration Certification (609c).
• Willingness to travel to store locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision of all Automotive Technicians employed by the Company.
• Conduct training programs for new hires and existing technicians, focusing on diagnostic, repair, and maintenance procedures.
• Partner with Zone Managers and Training Managers to assess store performance and identify technician training needs.
• Develop, update, and deliver training materials aligned with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and ASE best practices.
• Evaluate technician performance during and after training, providing coaching as needed.
• Provide recommendations regarding hiring, termination, advancement, and promotions of technicians.
• Ensure training complies with policies, safety standards, and state regulations.
• Maintain records of training completion, certifications, and technician progress.
• Assist in developing standardized repair and diagnostic procedures across all service locations.
• Stay current on industry developments and ASE certification updates.
• Promote continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.
• Travel to store locations to provide coverage and support.
