Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet high safety and quality standards. You will work with a skilled team, gain hands-on experience on domestic and foreign cars, and uphold a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and trust.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, ability to lift heavy objects, and adherence to EH&S guidelines in a modern, climate-controlled facility. ASE certifications are valued and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license; ASE Certifications in relevant areas (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2) where required by state law.
