Page Auto Group in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a skilled General Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance tasks to dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose malfunctions, repair vehicles, and supervise any apprentice technicians while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, solid communication, and the ability to work with parts and service advisors. ASE certification is preferred and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a service technician or in automotive repair.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Good communication and organization.
• Ability to supervise apprentices.
• Commitment to a safe, clean work environment.
• Proficiency with automotive repair tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance work as assigned per dealer and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Road-test vehicles when required and ensure proper safety.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Attend factory training and stay updated on bulletins.
• Maintain a neat, clean shop and proper tool accounting.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
